Job Summary
Are you interested in joining our mighty brigade as a pediatric registered nurse? CHOC Children’s is currently seeking a full-time RN to join our Apheresis Specialty Team. Our Apheresis Specialty Team offers comprehensive therapeutic apheresis services to pediatric patients with cancer, hematologic and autoimmune disorders.
In addition to nurturing a meaningful career for nurses, CHOC also offers an excellent salary and benefits package including a student loan repayment program, and an education reimbursement program (up to $10,000 per year for education reimbursement).
Reporting to the Nursing Manager, this position is responsible for the planning and delivery of family-centered patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients undergoing apheresis based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
Pay Range
Minimum $47.99 Midpoint $63.60 Maximum $79.20
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .

Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
- California RN license, BLS, PALS
- Knowledge of and ability to provide appropriate family-centered patient care based upon age appropriateness and cultural and spiritual needs
- 2 years experience in the clinical specialty of apheresis, including whole blood and donor apheresis collections, and therapeutic apheresis
- Pediatric acute care nursing experience
- Hematology/Oncology acute care nursing experience
